Abstract
A novel scheme for the classification of well-differentiated thyroid tumors composed of follicular cells and having a follicular pattern of growth is presented. In addition to the two conventional categories, i.e., adenoma and carcinoma, this scheme includes a group of tumors “of uncertain malignant potential.”
